You are planning your Seychelles Holiday and wondering what you can do in the Seychelles on a tight budget. Well we have put together some recession beating options on what to do in the Seychelles!

Historical sites:

The Jardin du Roi is located in Anse Royale which is about 3 km away from Chalets d’ Anse Forbans. The spice gardens are a must see when in the Seychelles. Wonder around the tropical garden and smell the diverse scents of the Seychelles spices or else sit back and enjoy a creole meal in the lovely restaurant with fantastic view of Anse Royale Bay. Seychelles Museums:

The Natural History Museum situated in Victoria has wonderful exhibitions that illustrate the flora, fauna and geological history of Seychelles, as well as highlight the major environmental concerns of the Seychelles Islands. Cost SCR 15 per person children free.

If you would like to learn more about the history of the Seychelles then the Seychelles National Archives is the place to visit. The archives are located in the Seychelles National Library located in Victoria.Cost is SCR 15 per person children free.

The Sanctuary at Roche Caiman:

The Sanctuary is a great place to visit if you are interested in the Nature of the Seychelles. The Sanctuary is an artificial wetland site (2.9 ha) resulting from reclamation work done on the east coast of Mahé in 1986.The Seychelles Sanctuary also boasts an information kiosk and a bird hide for the twin purpose of providing information and a good view of the wetlands fauna and flora. The cost is SCR 25 per person and children are free.

The Botanical Gardens in Victoria  is a wonderful place to wonder through the gardens to see the local flora and fauna of the Seychelles. Look out for the coco de mers, giant tortoises and wonderful array of tropical flowers. Cost is €6 per person.

Glass Bottom boats trips around the Seychelles Marine National Park:

A glass bottom boat trip in the St Anne National Marine Park is a wonderful day or half day outing. You get to snorkel with the fish and feed them as well. You need to book this directly with the Marine Charter association as different companies have various rates.  You can choose between a full day or a half  day excursion. The full day includes lunch on Cerf Island, and you can have time to explore this little island in the marine park.

Golf in the Seychelles:

If you are an avid golf fanatic then the Seychelles Golf Club which is a nine-hole course built on a old coconut plantation, would be part of your agenda for your Holidays in the Seychelles. The course is situated at Anse Aux Pins just off the road leading to the Reef Estate. This is approximately 15 minutes from the Seychelles International Airport. The cost for a round of Golf at the Seychelles Golf Club is SCR 375 per person.

Movies: Why not take in the local culture and join the local Seychellois at the movies. A movie costs SCR 30 per per person so it is well worth its value. The Movie houses are located in Anse Royale or in Victoria. The Anse Royale movie house is very small but in Victoria you will find 2 larger movie houses.

Discotheque:

One of the local disco is Katiolo which is an unique open-air nightclub on Mahé about 10 minutes drive from the Seychelles International airport and approximately 16km from Chalets d' Anse Forbans. The discotheque offers a Creole touch and a lively ambiance. Entrance fee is SCR 100 for the ladies and SCR 200 for the men.
