Seychelles News: "Grow and Eat Your Own Food" is a recently published book launched by Nature Seychelles. Nature Seychelles is a non-governmental agency situated at the Centre for Environment and Education at Roche Caiman on Mahe island about 1km outside of the Capital Victoria.
Nature Seychelles hopes to encourage Seychellois particularly women to grow their own food and become more self-reliant whilst eating healthy.
"Grow and Eat Your Own Food" contains chapters dealing with herbs and spices and their various culinary and medicinal uses as well as information on the disappearing fruit species of Seychelles. It goes on to provide tips and ideas on how to start your own garden. A great buy for tourist and locals alike who are interested in their environment and want to make a difference.
