Musee d’ Historie Naturell/ Seychelles Natural History Museum

The Seychelles Natural History Museum is located on Mahé Island and is in the heart of the bustling Capital of Seychelles Victoria. A trip to the museum is well worth the time. The museum was established from the personal collection of Captain TW Webb. The Seychelles Natural History Museum aims to promote awareness of the importance of the Seychelles biodiversity as well as the respect of its' national heritage.

Within the museum you will see on display a wonderful shell collection, assortment of animal artefacts and plants.When our blogger last revisted the museum had a wonderful area upstairs for educating children on the enviroment. The area included puzzles, wall charts and colouring in.

The hours of opening for the Seychelles Natural History Museum:

Monday- Thursday- 8.30-4.30pm
Saturday- 9am to 1pm
The museum is closed on Fridays, Sundays and public holidays.
