We had the most wonderful family outing recently when we took all the kids rock climbing at a newly opened adventure sports center on Mahe Island Seychelles. They offer a number of different levels and the kids all tried the yellow route which is the beginner grade 12 . The owners are truly wonderful and encouraging and helped the kids climb and ring the bell which was placed at a certain level. It was an awesome experience for the children who have not stopped speaking about their rock climbing experience.

Needless to say after much encouragement from the children I decided to give this rock climbing a bash myself. And you wonder… well it is great fun, great exercise and an awesome feeling when you reach the top. After the beginner grade I got my confidence and went for an intermediate grade which takes that much more effort and thinking as you need to find the natural crevices in the rock face. You are strapped and totally secure once reaching the top you ab sail down. I am now absolutely hooked on rock climbing and will definitely go back with the kids to do more.

I highly recommend rock climbing to all as a wonderful day outing with kids or merely with your partner. It is a great day out in the Seychelles. Do try it.
