Seychelles Indian Ocean Games Ends

The Seychelles has closed their 8th Indian Ocean Islands Games with much pride and jubilation and it has been described as the best ever organised since its launching since in 1979.

The Seychelles had one of their all time best Indian Ocean island Games finishing in second place after Reunion.  The tropical paradise was crowned the champions in Volleyball for both men and women teams, men basketball team, football, table tennis for women single and in weightlifting.

It is for the first time in the history of the Games that Seychelles had been crowned the best for both teams in volleyball for men in basketball and after a long wait of over three decades, it won the football finals.
